We have been a hub for Brown & Black culture in Oakland for the last 6 years. Through Markets, Vinyl Dinner Parties, Tiny Desk style performances, Art Shows, and community events we have hosted over 300 nights with 400+ local artists, musicians, & creatives.

We are opening an Afro Indo Market in the historic Temescal neighborhood of Oakland. We’ll be selling Chai & Fine Teas, Antique Rugs, Home Goods, Vinyl Records and more, centering our Indo and Afro heritages.

And of course our usual music programming highlighting local communities and talent

couchdate (all lower case) is an archival & restoration project highlighting Black & Brown voices.
