Antique Hand-woven Tribal Rug "Bambi"

$850.00

This is a deadstock vintage rug from the 1970’s. Based on the colors and design most likely a village in Northwestern Iran. The condition is absolutely amazing and the combination of colors and pattern is striking. Among the many motifs the deer is a stand out. The dyes are all natural plant dyes and the wool is of exceptional quality as well.

While some might see “flaws” or “imperfections”, that is entirely the wrong perspective. These rugs proudly wear the telltales signs of humans doing an ancient improvisational craft by hand - and the wear of their age. Please look at photos carefully before making a decision.
